FEATURED PROJECTS

The

Aqua

This swimming pool building is a concept of water droplet. The free form shape building symbolizes the convergence of two water droplet, in which the larger volume accommodates a lap pool and the kids pool and diving pool situated on the other.

In response to the residential tall building site, the building is lifted up to second level for a wide view of the harbour front. On the ground floor,  the use of glass curtain wall creates a translucent space, enabling fluid circulation, as well as encouraging people to go through the pathway to the Aldrich bay promenade.

The Linking loop is originated from two intersecting loops, as a metaphor representing the old and young generation reunite in the L-shaped collective housing site.

In the centre of the site is a large performing stage and recreation space with a view to rendering a harmonious community space within the site.  The Linking Loops remains a humble yet welcoming state in the dense residential area. It is to increase the interaction of people in the community while living in the same district.

The project concept originates from the tree branch-like development of columns. People are expected to explore in the fluid space, which resembles the experience of standing on a light tree branch and openness.

Standing in stark contrast to the beige, small-windowed dormitory buildings in the campus, the six-story student center has a simple ,rectangular floor plan within a steel structure that features the v-shaped steel columns as both structural supporting elements and space defining elements.
